sys_ticrate just controls the max FPS. If you set it for 500, the max goes up to 500, if you set it for 10, the max goes down to 10 (100's the default). The server can only process so many frames per second. All the physics and crap is done in each one of those frames, so the higher the FPS, the lower the latency between frames.. obviously.
What that boils down to, the lower the time between frames, the lower the pings will be. If the server can only pull 9 frames a second, the server can only send out 9 updates a second. 9 frames out of 1000ms is 111ms between frames, and the pings will reflect that. But if you don't have any problems with the pings getting higher as more structures and whatnot get built, you shouldn't need to worry about it. And as for your CPU usage, just hit ctrl+shift+esc and check to see how much CPU you're actually using. If it says 100 at the bottom, the plugin's working right, otherwise there's a bug somewhere... |

It should go without saying, out of all the times I used this plugin and it read a solid 100%, that it's a plugin bug or a compatibility problem, not my cpu usage actually being that high continuously. My god ... a steady 100%? I think not, not even on a BAD day ... lol. (of COURSE I can open the task manager at any time and check it that way). |

If you can tell me about your setup depot I will try to help you. I need to know:
- Windows version - Windows Service Pack version - HLDS version - MetaMod version - NS version - All MetaMod plugins you are using What you can try in the meantime is, load up only HLDS+MM+CpuStat and see if that makes a difference. Alternatively, try running it with older versions of MetaMod. |
