Could someone write a small plugin to alter the range of siege turrets? I've been playing NS again and have gotten really irritated with the insane siege range. Some of my old maps that used to be fairly balanced are now hugely marine biased because they can siege from 3 rooms over, when they used to not be able to.

Quick, dirty solution: open up the NS game DLL in your favourite hex editor and change the value directly. Offsets are 0x000958E1 in dlls/ns.dll for Windows and 0x002157F4 in dlls/ns_i386.so for Linux, stored as a 32-bit little-endian integer, defaulting to 1100 (0x0000044C or 4C 04 00 00).

I know there's a content replacement mod, i guess I could look for it meh. |

Hurf, ignore this, got it working. Had the byte order backwards.
